I can't wait till this becomes more clear. I love all of these story arcs <3 I have a feeling the way Vikki's dressing doesn't suit the roommates, and also her tendency to drool over boys as well

almost wondering if perhaps the guy in question might have a history that ain't so great. Mariah might be jealous that Vikki got along with him well (not saying she's jealous of the guy, but the date itself), but Sarah's line makes it seem like Vikki ought to be watching her back if the guy she went on a date with is a little bit of a player. Just a theory.

A short, slinky black dress with a shawl, huh? The shawl covers the shoulders, but the shawl might've not stayed on at all times; I can see Vikki draping it over the back of her chair if they went out to eat or something. Plus, there's no covering up the short hemline. Or the smooches, as Mr. Ed put it. Nooo, there's certainly no covering up the smooches. Razz

I love the "NOTHING," the hastily fixed smiles, and the deer-in-headlights look in that last panel. They remind me of kids trying to cover up whatever mischief they got into.

IF this is going where it looks like (to me), then, while Mariah and Sarah's 'concern' is understandable, their behavior is childish and reprehensible.

Whatever's going on, their cryptic, catty behavior is absolutely ridiculous. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone, instead of either using their spine and speaking frankly or else butting out, keeps firing these indirect messages or passive-aggressive comments. It's either maddening or just plain confusing. Or both. Poor Vikki.
