Um, JAM, when was the last time you have seen a deadbolt on an interior closet door? And even if there was one, why would the handle be on the outside instead of the inside? Really, that just raises so many questions. Shocked

Sorry, wrong choice of words.

There doesn't appear to be ANY bolt on that door, and if it the door is bulging from the center, it's going to blow open any second.

Well, from the looks of it, the door is constructed with a spring backed retention pin, the kind that simply can't latch, but instead rides over a small ridge on the door frame requiring a light push or pull to move past that will keep it closed in normal use. Really they are not that uncommon.

As for the bowed door, I would like to direct your attention to a little thing called "Artistic License". To make a long, overly detailed explanation short: things don't have to work in fiction the way they do in Real Life if it helps the story.

If that was the case, they would be happy to explain things to Vikki instead of giving her the cold shoulder when she accidentally does something to offend them. That's one of the reasons Vikki has Ronnie translate what her roommates are saying.
