I like Alice's facial expression in the third panel. I shall make it my new avatar. And thus it was done.

Re: What Happened to the Yarn
I find it amusing that both girls (Alice's friend and Diana) are referring to the other as evil. I find it even more amusing that Diana's form of "evil" is designing a dress that shall undoubtedly be a fabulous and tasteful expression of villainy.
And Trevor_Fox has a point; I feel like they should be sitting in algebra or something by now. =P

Oooh yes! I get it. :-) I also remember a Farside(?) panel wherein the astronauts find a woman's bodyLatrans wrote:Moon cannon?
"One of these days, Alice! One of these days!"
*wonders if anybody will get the reference*
on the surface of the moon. One astronaut says to the other, "It's Alice Kramden."

Oh dear...
"This would be great for her dress!"... just talking about her instead of the girl right beside him?

Aw, the page is a little short.
Ouch, that blush...I'll consider it a confirmation that Louis has a thing for Diana...poor Alice, she got herself into a battle she cannot win.

I wonder if Alice would feel bad if he brought up the fact that Diana was trying to pay off her debts. Somehow I don't think she was talking about replacing her mom's yarn when she said it.

Re: What Happened to the Yarn
On the subject of how much time they have before classes, I find it interesting it's mentioned because of what Dan Shive (author of El Goonish Shive) recently talked about in the rant under his January 28th comic.
Dan Shive wrote:I recently confessed via Twitter confusion over the fact that some readers have been assuming that it's currently lunchtime when it is actually prior to even their first class starting. I noted that I felt Elliot was wearing his coat and had not yet put it in his locker should have made it obvious even if one had forgotten his mentioning what time of day it was.
I was quickly given a reminder, however, that my high school experience was not identicial to that of everyone else's throughout the world. While I have many memories of arriving early to school via bus and having a significant amount of free time before classes began, many have informed me that they find the very idea of this free time strange. It's possible my bus got me to school with more time to spare than is normal elsewhere.

Her expression in the last panel actually has me feeling just a bit sorry for Alice. Just a bit.

So I've been kicking around ideas for soda names after "Liquid Sugar" was introduced...
Carbonated Caffeine?
Canned Diabetes?
Tooth Eater?

Hyper Juice? Heart Attack in a Can? Bee Magnet?
...I'm more of a tea person, myself. Straight, hot tea with nothing added. xD
Anyway, it definitely looks like Louis is fond of Diana, and it might be in the romantic way (the slight hint of blush, him talking about her so much, the little heart on the can that might or might not be symbolic). If not, he at the very least holds her very dear to his heart as a precious friend. And Diana, screw revenge, make an awesome dress! Go pink! Or ocean colors!

Re: What Happened to the Yarn
I think Diana will need to take a second glance at Alice. Evilness is not exactly a character trait, but determination is. The reason Alice behaves a she does right now is because she feels unrequited love for Louis and Diana is the reason it's unrequited, at least that's how I see it. However, Alice is determined to try hard to get Louis's attention even if it's the dirty way.

That's great find, Latrans!
When writing this, I had in mind that the bus arrived 30 minutes before school starts. That gave ten minutes of Diana implementing her plan, five minutes for Alice to ruin it, and ten minutes of Diana upset while Louis got her a drink. However, reading over the pages now that they're fully formed instead of just a .doc script, I can see how it seems to be a lot longer.
Re: What Happened to the Yarn
I reeaallyy like that second panel! Especially Diana's eyes/expression.
The little hearts on the soda can are a great touch too. :-)

Page 336: A picture of Cat was inked on the other side of this page. If you look closely, you can still see her face.
