Two hours later, and the healthy one's still eating that cereal... And the bowl's full again. How many of those has she had? Has she even noticed she's eating them? Will she EVER come down from this Meow Chow induced sugar rush??

Interesting how both Cat and Ronnie have reverted to a childlike state, watching cartoons raptly, eating sugary cereal by the bowlful.

Someone once pointed out, years ago, how television had become the Great American Babysitter, spoon-feeding American youngsters prepackaged content. They grew up to vote for Ronald Reagan as President because "I saw him on TV." Bread and circuses, or more accurately, sugar-frosted bread and televised circuses.
