Dangit all! And I was so proud of myself for catching other spelling errors before posting ^^; That's been fixed now.

I love Cat's expression in the last panel. She looks like the halloween store is sort of hypnotizing her into some sort of primordial state in relation to superstitions about cats at halloween time. That totally made sense in my mind, but probably not in writing.

I had to think about that one for a second, but yeah, I think I see what you mean--it's mostly in the eyes, the slight slimming down of the pupils and the sort of... blank, intent stare, I suppose...? in the last panel; it makes her expression seem more animalistic, wild, feral, somehow. It's really subtle though.
On another note, I like those fairy wings of hers that she apparently found.

Perhaps Cat's reading the label rightly, or has a foggy memory, but that's no child's dress. Not "floor-length" at any rate. Otherwise, that belt / sash and bow around the middle would encircle the thighs just above the knees. And for that shoulder width, the kid would have to be about three times the normal child's body weight. Really, picture a child wearing that so that only her feet show beneath the hem ... and the only thing that it'd fit is an inflated penguin.

OUCH, bunny... that's harsh. Poor Ellen, she wasn't trying to deceive us. I think she really was trying to draw a little girl's princess costume.
