Heh. I can't say as I've ever gotten lost while walking and distracted. My auto-pilot's pretty darn good. Back when I was in college I'd occasionally wake up in class. Not 'wake up and go to class'. Oh no, I'm talking 'wake up and already be in class with no memory of going there'. Kind of freaked me out the first time it happened.

I never got to class while sleeping while I was in college (Yay for first class at noon). But I did on more than one occasion write software in my sleep for the projects we were working on. Then spent the whole class figuring out what I did >.> Sleeping me was a great coder, but horrible about documentation.

My class started at 6am. I would manage to get up, shower, dress, gather my books, eat breakfast and walk completely across campus (about 3/4 mile) without waking up.

In fact I think there's only one thing I've not done while asleep that I've done awake, and that's ride my motorcycle. The list includes, drive my car, talk on the phone (coherently even), working my job, among innumerable others.
