Re: Brian's Day
Hey! I recognize that clock! It's been in half the classrooms I've been in. The hour hand never quite syncs up with the minute hand. :-)
Love Dawn's expression in panels 6 and 8. Both of them look great together in panel 8!
You do a really good job with your cameo illustrations, Ellen-Natalie! You always make everyone look so nice.

Oh, I'm really going to like this next page!
Considering the type of kiss, and its placement, I think a sound effect other than "smack" is in order. I'm just not sure what would be better. Certainly not "boop"; but possibly somewhere in between?

Re: Brian's Day
Panel 1: Now there's a nice, and appropriate, replacement effect for "smack"!
Last panel: At least he didn't 'pull an Elliott' and knock off one antler!
Just wanted to add that panel 2 is actually my favorite in this one. I really like the expresions! :-)

Wow, everyone but Brian disappeared...or did he faint for a while and now everyone's in class...or gone home?

Hehe. I think it's a reflection of Brian's mental state. There's that change in color from bright/normal to blue too, and Ellen-Natalie has used changes in saturation and color tone before to indicate shifts in perspective and mood--like here, with Alice and her Juliet performances: http://furryexperience.smackjeeves.com/comics/2143051/page-425/. (Dramatic example. Her outfit changes too, and it's safe to assume it's not actually, magically transforming in the world of the comic.)
In this case, Brian just hit his head, so the pain dominates his attention. Everyone else fades out of his sphere of awareness.

You picked up on exactly what I was going for! In hindsight, though, wish I'd changed the crowd to darkened silhouettes instead of removing them. That way, it would show Brian's mental state without the crowd distractingly raptured. Maybe I'll try that technique in a future book
By the way, here's a peak at the next page:

Argh. It's maddening when you have something you need to straighten out, urgently, and a cheery robot tells you to wait for an hour on the phone while it plays hakuna matata music--either that, or it tells you to wait ten minutes and then thirty minutes pass, and no one gets to you, and all dreams of dealing with the issue in a timely manner are crushed.
Side note: I like what you did with the music notes on this page.

Yes, this comic was way too real. Bonus points for only having a few hours at certain times of day because you work 9-5 M-F and all the phone services close up before you get home from work.
I've had to deal with medical insurance a lot lately. To call one hospital office and then be told to call insurance and then be told to call them back and then call another office and say their computers don't work with the most prevalent insurance company in the state so please if you could mail it to us AAAAAHHAHHHAHAHAHAA!

"Hold it, Brian!"
"Hold on, Brian"
"Hold up, Brian"
"Hold back, Brian"
"Hold 'em, Brian!" ("Hold him, Brian!" "Hold her, Brian!")
"Hold fast, Brian!"
"Hold me, Brian" (Helloooo Dawn!) :-)
"Hold off, Brian"
"Hold tight, Brian!"
...?? :-)
Several days later...
Okay; that girl with the "Doggy Bar Biscuits" looks vaguely familiar.
That lovely black & red hair looks almost like a cape! Add in that outfit with the hourglass necklace and she looks like she could be a super-hero! ...Or a sorceress! :-)

That is Chains, a patron cameo submitted by Clayton!

DIANAAA!!!!!
With one word Brian says so much: "Diana". It's like his go-to word when something is missing. I wonder why...

Re: Brian's Day
I continue to be triggered by Brian's holding pattern!
Seeing dragons and mythological creatures in modern settings seems funnier to me than 'typical' animal folk. And a bit sad.
I don't know, I imagine the dragon behind the counter chaffing, imagining a past in which his ancestors flew free over the opens fields in search of livestock to snatch and hoarded gold and treasure as they slept. Hmm, not unlike Brian's 'call of the wild' dream I suppose. Clearly the holding pattern is symbolic of the stifling grip modern society has placed on all of us, restraining us in artificial environments, like animals pretending to be human in a modern setting.
...that or Brian really needs some of the people in his family to lighten the load. Also, I hope you appreciate what your brother sacrifices for you Diana.
What sort of snacks fall into the "Wall of Other" I wonder? After salty and sugary, what's left?

The kind that can't be broken down by your stomach acid.

Thank goodness! It would've been awkward to be on hold during class.
Cameos include Moro Silvertail, Misha, Tyler, Jinx and Raymond

Yes, it's been frustrating that there's no page lately. But a new one will go up soon!
