Messed Up Shoutouts Arc

In the meantime, here's a hint of the next character in this arc:

Uh...that isn't Cat, is it? O_O;

New characters! Yay!

Kanna, I'm pretty sure that's not cat. Wrong hair, too short, eye color is different, and decidedly wrong personality. Actually I'm pretty sure I've seen her before, but I'll have to do some digging.

Other than that, Hunter sure seems to have not known what he was getting into.

Edit: Digging accomplished! From what I just looked at, our diminuitive cat was originally a mouse named Marcie. Given another image, her personality has possibly been given to Crazy Mousetta (see character description under her). Also given that image, it's possible that the large-ish bulldog in back was originally a panda. Lastly, our parrot pirate has been around for a while too.

OH MY GOSH THAT HAS TO BE THE COOLEST PIZZA PLACE EVER! Seriously, I would LOVE to go somewhere like that. Because pirates! And adventure! And pizza! Ooh, I bet it would be fun to write a story about actual (not really, crazy fantasy-style) pirates going on an actual fictional adventure for some sort of actual fictional quest involving a lost slice of magical pizza that could grant its eater great temporary power to wreak havoc if it were to fall into the wrong hands, and of course there would have to be an epic pirate villain with VERY wrong hands... mm, but such power could have a dire price, like a sort of Achille's heel--*cough* I'll stop now.

Anyway, this arc looks like it is going to be so much fun. A new cast of intriguing-looking characters (plus Luke), both PIRATES and PIZZA (*squee*), and Hunter? Oh yeah. I especially like the bird guy; his expression just looks like that of someone silver-tongued and smooth, though not necessarily in a dishonest way. I think... the word I am looking for is charming? Yes, his whole demeanor seems sort of charming. The cat/mouse(? hard for me to tell, she's petite and her ears are large, but they're pointed... I want to guess mouse though) is wearing a smile that looks a bit more sly to me. The bulldog has a scowl, so possibly not a friendly fella. And the tan dog in the middle's wearing what looks to me like a pretty standard smile--not shy, not over-the-top, not sly, so I'd hazard a guess that he's a pretty average guy. Aside from being the boss or manager, which I'm guessing he is since he's wearing the captain's hat and coat... and hook... hello, there, Captain Hook. 'Course, whether all these characters actually match my first impression remains to be seen; I shouldn't judge a book by its cover and all that.

As for Luke, he looks... as un-smiley as usual, really. I wonder how he feels about his new job.

I love Hunter's gobsmacked expression. I wonder if all the epic pirate vibes overwhelmed him? Or maybe he's surprised to see Luke? Also, I bet David would adore this place!

I like Hunter and Luke but I hope we see more of Vickie's roommates in the future as well. Also, will we ever learn the secret about Ronnie's dad? I'm pretty curious to find out what he was talking about on the phone when they got back from dinner.

Are there any musical groups in this universe? What kind of actors would they have? Would Justin Bieber be Justin BEAVER?

Of course! There's also Brian Seahorse, Brittany Sparrow, Mice Girls, and the classic British rock band The Beagles.

I'm assuming being miserable is a requirement for that job.

I'm pretty sure that the pirate captain is now officially my favorite character. I must make sure to put scurvy soul into everything I do from now on.

Five bucks says the panda's disappointment has something to do with Hunter's image not fitting any bad webcomic jokes... or maybe just not fitting a specific joke he'd been hoping to make, I dunno.

That's what pirates do-terrible, traumatic things while being awesome.

Captain makes me giggle. A lot.

Given how much work he'd end up putting in to the character, working for him will either be a lot of fun or a serious chore. If he truly enjoys the character then it'd likely come naturally to him, however, if he's just putting on a face for an audience (both customers and staff) then it's going to become a chore and that stress will likely rub off on his subordinates. I do so much hope for the former.

Yarr, matey, I concur with Latrans and Mr. Ed. Could be a fun job with plenty o' scurvy soul and plenty of treasure, as long as the boss isn't a landlubber pretendin' to be a pirate. Methinks I'd hafta work on me pirate speak, though. And find proper pirate attire.
