I think he's helping -Amber- quite well. ;-) "Oh, look; a distraction!" (last panel)
Pom's are pretty cool, even if they're not a manly-man type of dawg. :-)

Re: Comic Detours
Well, hello! Welcome! It is certainly nice to meet the real person behind 'Helen'.
You do such a wonderful job of bringing her to life and making her a warm and believable person.
Re: Comic Detours
Hey Ellen, do you have a perma-link for this one? I'd like to link back to it in the post where I issued the challenge. :-)

I plan on updating it to DeviantART soon - hopefully that will work!

What convincing argument did David had to make to get Hunter to wear the costume.

Thanksgiving Detour
Was in a car accident the night before Thanksgiving, which inspired this statement. There's lots to be grateful for, but this year I'm thankful for having time to enjoy it.
Re: Comic Detours
I am thankful for steady work that keeps a roof over my face and food in my face. I am thankful for at least one running vehicle and reliable public transportation when that breaks down. I am thankful for my good health and the resources to live a lifestyle that supports it. I am thankful you are okay. They are all pretty basic things, but they are important and I am glad I have them.
Also thankful for my imagination. "Puny car wreck! Ms. Natalie SMASH!"

Re: Comic Detours
Happy Thanksgiving, Ellen-Natalie! I hope you weren't too shaken up to enjoy it! (You haven't said anything so I'm assuming you and yours are all okay. I certainly hope so, but I won't pry.)
I also hope all my other friends here at FE have enjoyed the last few days, whether you're in the U.S. or not! :-)

I am thankful that you are okay, Ms. Natalie.
I am also thankful for my family, my friends, and my teachers. Special thanks for my fiction professor who has just been particularly amazing all quarter. Also special thanks for squirrels, which for some reason make for really fun stories.

Comic Delay: David's announcement
Since the next comic is being delayed, David made a brief announcement for those who might not be aware of what's happening on Patreon this month - featuring some panels that appear in his comic Playdate.
...it just occurred to me. My side story comics are named Brian's Big Date, Double Date, and Playdate. There appears to be a theme...

Comic Detour: Patreon Peak
Today's update is a shameless plug, with hover text thanking you and saying you're awesome. And hey, look! Comics!
In case you have trouble accessing the hover text:
The previous four Short Stories are still up on Patreon, as well. Just think: for a dollar, you'll have access to all of them for the rest of June, and will be helping bring more opportunities for FE in the future. Win-win!
For those who can't pledge, don't worry. The time you spend sharing and discussing FE with your friends online and off really does help out - thanks for making the effort to do so!
Without a doubt, FE has the best fans. I want to thank all of you for your time, enthusiasm, feedback and support. The comic wouldn't have gotten this far without you, and I hope you continue to enjoy updates in the future. Seriously, thanks - you're awesome.

Something definitely happened. Dawn's Heart is a story about Dawn's favorite necklace. If you check the archives, you may notice her wearing it several times. If you're interested reading the entire comic, it's being posted over Patreon!
Comic Detour: Romance Section
Been re-arranging my schedule this week, arc will resume on the 29th. However, I will be updating sketched comics in the meantime!
Also, those are all real book titles.

If I had known this page was coming, I'd have waited to link Naked Singularity until now.
