Ooh, I've never seen/read Card Captor Sakura, but upon seeing this, I Googled it, and it looks like it might be interesting. Note to self, check it out sometime during summer break.

Oh gosh, that's FANTASTICALLY hilarious!
For those not familiar with the series, it's basically the entire opening of the Japanese CCS with Derpy and other ponies in place of the characters. The original opening can be found at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDBSV8DL1lU

I really can't think of CCS without thinking of this video (Spectacular Anime).

Edit:
I had a thought that needed to be shared. It's simply too nutty not to. Crazy Mousetta dressed as... Gadget from Rescue Rangers. I can only imagine how mortified Gadget would be at the prospect. Laughing

It's supposed to be Fionna, Finn's gender-swapped character. Apparently later in the series (I've only seen season one), we meet an alternate gender-swapped cast of the show. The alternate cast became so popular in the fan base, they got their own comic series earlier this year. More about this series can be found at this link: http://adventuretime.wikia.com/wiki/Adventure_Time_with_Fionna_and_Cake_Issue_1

Storm is one of the X-men, a mutant who has the ability to control the weather. Over the decades she's had a lot of cosmetic makeovers (anyone seen Mohawk Storm from the 1980's?), but she has always been a strong female character.

If you're interested in learning more, there's a wikipedia page about her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_%28Marvel_Comics%29

Oh wow. My day = made! Laughing

Also, Brain, my dear buck, it's not that the visor is faulty, the lens is just all steamed up. It's a defense mechanism to keep you from either A) suffering a brain asplosion or B) embarrassing yourself in that rather *ahem* form-fitting Cyclops costume. Razz

Most excellent, indeed!!! BTW have you considered continuing with these. Of course, Hunter already does the Cos-play thing with his brother, but there are other possibilities with the cast. Keep up the good work!! And the latest Imperial G.E.L.F. is wild. will be interesting what my namesake really is like.. THE COLONEL Laughing

In regards to continuing the series, Colonel, I might do so next year-but right now I'm focusing on finishing up the desktops to download.

In the meantime, here's today's comic detour. After some thought, I felt my original answer to the 'Aquatic species' question in the thread wasn't enough information:

awesome, I love it! I'd love to see more of these detours, it makes me feel like I've contributed.
(one thing to note, I'm not sure if it's just me, but this comic isn't loading right smackjeeves. Is it just me?)

I had a similar issue trying to get the comic to show up earlier when posting-it kept reading as a broken image. After several modifications and experiments it's finally showing up on my end. I'll check with Smackjeeves to see if it's an issue with their servers, but in the meantime try the basic tech support tricks - hitting 'refresh,' opening up the website in another browser, making sure you're not missing any security updates, etc.
