Has anyone noticed that Sweetie Belle's parents are nowhere to be seen.....AGAIN??? Not even in her FREAKING BIRTHDAY PARTY?????!!!!! (And, I might add, that party was at her HOUSE, not at Carousel Boutique)
A shoutout to that Flash game where you have to make Twilight Sparkle walk by just pressing 4 keys. That shoutout was when Sweetie Belle fell down that first flight of stairs.
It also looks like Apple Bloom remembered SOME of the stuff she learned while she had the Cutie Pox. That trick with her tail would have been impossible otherwise.

Prior to the great Celestia/Luna rift, there was no need for the Earth/Unicorn/Pegasi, or EUP, Guard. [Apparently, after the defeat of Discord, all internal and external conficts were resolved peacefully]
But after Luna's banishment, the Protective Pony Platoons (PPP) were formed. On the anniversary of the first Celestial year of peace, a celebration was held. [Anno Pax Celestia 1, or APC 1. It was not named "Year of the Nightmare" as I and several other authors had theorised]
Headed by General Firefly (who established the choreography), an elite team of aerial performers were chosen to help celebrate this auspicious occasion. [Firefly was one of the G1 ponies from "Escape From Midnight Castle", the MLP world premiere.]
The first performance was so full of energy, so highly charged, that magical lightning showered down on the crowd. Everypony was so filled with amazement and wonder that General Firefly dubbed them 'the Wonderbolts'.

The Equestria Games, while being a national event, has international importance. The VIP box had the 4 princesses, AND dignitaries from Saddle Arabia, a country that appears to be from what would be the Latin American counterpart in the planet they're in, and one who appears to be either from Peru or Egypt.
Also, Prince Blueblood was in the VIP box, along with Major Mare, Fancy Pants & Fleur de Lis (are they the mayor and deputy mayor of Canterlot?), Cherry Jubilee (looks like she's someone REALLY important in Dodge Junction), and two other ponies, of which comes from a port city.
In the audience: Sapphire Shores and her entourage, that salespony with glasses who was with Flim & Flam, Fancy Pants, Photo Finish, Peppermint Twist, Braeburn and a few others from Appleloosa, and Mr. Waddle.
Dr. Hooves was waiting...for Rose. He was with her in the audience.

I wonder if there is a Griffon City somewhere in Equestria...

Wherever those griffons are from, their emblem is an eagle talon and a lightning bolt.
So the final event isn't a marathon. That would be kinda pointless, given that equines are already built for long distance running.
And the Cloudsdale anthem was the most painful scene of the series so far, IMHO. Take it from the guy who started puberty right in the middle of the main song in the church Christmas play.

Been catching up on episodes while packing boxes - I'll admit, I didn't have high expectations for season 4, but it's really grown on me. Now I finally get to read J.A.M.'s reactions! 
Wasn't there a whole episode where Twilight went back in time to warn herself of a 'terrible disaster' in future? It was completely pointless, but it was possible. Maybe Cadence didn't know about that embarrassing week.

- When Glinda was first introduced, Rarity commented on how griffons were rare. Also, there is only one team of griffons amongst several teams of ponies at the Pony-lympics. This leads me to believe that the population of griffons is very, very small. This may be due to difficulty in how griffons are conceived, but I suspect it's because they had a civil war back when Celestia and Luna were wielding the elements of Harmony.
Season 4 has shown a sample of some of the enemies Celestia and Luna faced with the elements. The end of Season 4 proves that these enemies were also aware of each other, and that some of them defected, choosing instead to help the ponies of Equestria. Because the griffons have the body parts of multiple animals like other enemies/creatures of that time, they would be natural allies against the Alicorns. But some Griffons learned the Alicorns were not a threat, and wanted to join them in protecting their fellow ponies. This caused a struggle within the Griffon's society as they fought over who they should aid as the Alicorns established their rule as princesses. Eventually, those who wished to side with the Alicorns won-but not after many had been killed in the conflict.
Nowadays, the griffons are technically allies of the ponies of Equestria, but they are also working to gain back the power and influence griffons once had before the civil war. This has lead to griffons pushing their children into being more competitive and achieving excellence, creating an aggressive generation. It's had some positive results, including the only griffon team in the Pony-lympics wining medals and the only griffon in Canterlot's bake-off making award-winning eclairs. But there's also negative side effects, such as Glinda's aggression driving away the few pony friends she had.

There's a difference in travelling in time, and turning back time. Twilight only had 60 seconds of travel and can no longer repeat the spell, and so far none of the other alicorns ever mentioned that they could send Spike back because MAYBE they already spent their spell.
As for the griffons, each city had its seal, and the griffons also had their own seal. Perhaps their city is small, but existing in Equestria nonetheless.

The cutie mark itself is inherently tied in to the pony's special talent AND the pony's magic. Hence, it appears once it's discovered. Switch them around, and it causes confusion (Starswirl's last spell). Remove it, and the pony becomes lethargic (Tirek's influence). Replace it with something generic, and the pony's magic is greatly reduced.
And yet, a cutie mark can be concealed VERY easily.
"A five bit snake herder in an Appleloosa ranch house"?
Starlight Glimmer is the third unicorn we know of that has the ability to teleport, even if she can only move ~10m.
As to why she was able to overcome Twilight's magic:
Recalling the video game "Street Fighter", each character has a super move/attack.
However, when performing that move, that's when the character is most vulnerable, since all of his/her defenses are down, and everything is geared toward attacking, not defending...
Hmm...maybe Starlight's attack hit Twilight's horn right when she was casting her spell, and that's why her magic failed...
And in the end, we never knew the name of the town. Let's call it "Stepford" for now

The Friendship Castle is near a hill and a waterfall? And with a more extended view, it's likely that the castle is near the Ponyville Dam.
It's also WEST of Ponyville, if the sunset is correct.
