Five Nights at Freddy's
So, there's a new horror game that recently emerged, and after some big youtubers have played it, it's going viral. The point of the game is that you play as a security guard that works at night-time at a Chuck-E-Cheese like establishment. You're given a limited amount of power to manage throughout your 6 hour shift, and you can't move. All you can do is look around and click buttons. The point is to keep your eye on the animatronic animals that are Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy. They wander around at night. If they come into they room with you, you die. You have to manage power, look through the cameras to keep an eye on where the robots are, and shut the doors to your room if they are too close. All of these things take power and make it more difficult to survive the night!
A good playthrough of the game is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOztnsBPrAA&list=UU7_YxT-KID8kRbqZo7MyscQ
And, I've also seen a lot of artists drawing their own characters as the robotic animals, so I took my shot at it, drawing my characters as these creepy things: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14307396/

Yeah. It's creepy, and I'm just amazed at the pacing, design, and programming in it. It's all strung together so well.

Just another piece of art I tried to do about the game, but adding in a lot more detail with a background, shading, and the camera static.

Ooh. I like this one a lot better. The use of textures really helped give it (un?)life and the lighting is definitely more moody. While your first image was kind of "just stand there and look odd", this one has a decidedly "hey, let's hunt down the guy behind this camera and eat his face while he watches" vibe.

Thank you very much. I really do like it, and I'm glad that the time and effort paid off on it.

Re: Five Nights at Freddy's
"What are you doing?" I ask my friend as I'm looking over his shoulder.
"Playing Five Nights at Freddy's." he replies clicking his phone screen again and again.
Three other kids are staring at the screen, watching him switch to each camera again and again. Everyone seems to be leaning closer and closer.
One of the creatures scream and jump at the screen, everyone drawing back sharply
"Oh god, man that was...wow." He said, turning the phone off, "You know what, I blame you dude."
"What why?"

Re: Five Nights at Freddy's
I watched Markiplier play through some of the sequel, and I got it once it became available. So excited for this game!

Animated Five Nights
*sigh* Too chicken to play the game myself, but I watched/listened to Markiplier's videos while doing comics this week. My favorite's the animated clips of his game commentary. ^^
(Warning - loud noises, language and screams of joy/anguish.)

Anyone see the trailer for FNAF3?
Holy Sheesh. If I was too chicken to play the previous games, I'm definitely not going to be able to handle playing this one!
...Looking forward to watching someone else on youtube play it, though

It hasn't been released yet, but the project was recently greenlit over the Steam community - so soon there will be!

FNaF Thoughts and Music
Curious if anyone's been keeping up with the latest in the FNaF fandom. What are your thoughts on game 4, MatPat's Game Theories, "Bread" bear, or the upcoming Halloween content?
Myself, I've been exploring the surprising number of songs that has been inspired by this game series. Below are some of my favorites:

Ohgosh, YES!
It's either going to be awesome or horrible. Either way, I'm looking forward to it!
Re: Five Nights at Freddy's
And it could be both...
Awesomely horrible in a "so bad it's good" way (hooray for cult classics)
Or horribly awesome in a "bring me my brown pants" way (hooray for scary movies that go horribly right)
