I have this one! It's the Cat From Outer Space.

But You're still better at the hints, so I'd like to defer if I'm right. Or can try to think of something come morning xP

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting to see if you'd give a hint.

This silent film, produced in Germany is widely regarded as the pinnacle of horror for the silent film age.

A carnival man touts that his companion can truthfully answer any question. Complications arise when a man is told he will die before sunrise and the prophecy comes true.

Ok, it's been a week without any guesses. The movie I was talking about is The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari. I'm not a big silent film fan, but this one's just awesome. And it's old enough to be in the public domain so finding a copy is pretty easy.

Next hint then...

An underwater drilling crew is tapped by the US Navy to locate and secure a nuclear submarine that was sunk under mysterious circumstances.

I'm afraid not. Another hint then... It was directed by James Cameron.

The Abyss from 1989.

And, yes, I cheated, also, by using Yahoo!

Hmm, let's see if I can stick to Furry characters and films.

Ah, this animated feature film is populated mostly by mice; however, a bat, a rat and a cat also appear. Oh, and a basset hound, too.

Plot: When a small child witnesses her father's abduction, she seeks help from a most peculiar fellow. Together, they uncover a sinister plot that threatens the Monarchy itself! queen

It most certainly is The Great Mouse Detective from 1986 by Walt Disney Pictures.

The bat is Fidgit, who was sent by the wicked Professor Ratigan to abduct toymaker Hiram Flaversham.
The rat, of course, is Professor Ratigan, though he has this peculiar quirk of denying that he is a rat.
The cat is Felicia, a horribly overweight Angora longhair that "disposes" of mice that distress Ratigan.

The basset hound is Toby, whose keen sense of smell greatly aids Basil of Baker Street during investigations.
Ratigan's treasonous scheme involved coercing Hiram Flaversham into creating a mechanical duplicate of Her Majesty. By substituting the duplicate for the reigning monarch, Ratigan would rule all British mice through the sock puppet simulacrum.

Good deducing, Slim. Let's see if you can Break My Brain.

So, there were two brothers who liked cars, One was kidnapped by a crime organization with the ransom being that the other brother steal fifty cars in one day, or else the hostage dies.

Fifty cars is too much for me.

Aww... someone beat me to it *again*.

I'm of the opinion that Ms. Natalie is correct. Of course, that's the 2000 remake. Personally, I think the 1974 original was much better. bounce

Wow, really? I never even saw that movie-just the trailer several times on cable. ^^;
Okay, my turn...time to look at the movie shelf...

This film takes place between two seasons of a popular television series: An evil witch is kidnapping children and putting them into comas, using their combined energy to build her power. Only the princess and her guardians can save them, but first they must win the fight against the witch's minions, who have the power to command candy warriors.

Ok, lets see... Moving right along...

During World War II, Walter, an alcoholic drifter, is coerced into being a coast watcher for the Australian navy. On an excursion to a nearby island to pick up a replacement for himself, he finds a lot more than he'd bargained for.

Well, while the movie does feature the Australian (as opposed to American) navy, the film itself was a US production. It was released in 1964.

Ok, since no one has guessed it yet, the answer is Father Goose. It's a decent movie starring Cary Grant and Leslie Caron.

Next movie then... In this 1972 film, the Earth has been stripped of all plant life. The few remaining specimens are kept in giant domes orbiting Saturn. When the order comes to destroy the domes and return the freighters attached to them to service, one botanist mutinies in a bid to save the last known plant life in the solar system.

Ah, this one I remember, even though I was just a little squibbit when it came out.

Silent Running from 1972 by Universal Pictures. One of those low-budget, high-concept thrillers with Hollywood physics. Rolling Eyes

Anyways, yes! You are correct. Hint?

Cool, got it right. So, keeping to Funny Animal themed films:

This is an animated feature film produced in Canada in 1983, and first screened in Finland in 1986. Despite its eight million dollar production budget, it was only screened in the United States in small, independent art houses, where it grossed a paltry $30,379.

Plot: In a world where humanity expunged itself, leaving the housepets and ferals as the new masters of the Earth, rock music still rules. One super-rocker, seething that his audience draw has been slipping, seeks to give the masses a show they won't forget by summoning a demon from another dimension in mid-performance. The key to unlocking the dimensional doorway is One Particular Voice, which belongs to the protagonist's bandmate cum girlfriend. Our hero must race to rescue his soulmate, and thwart the maniacal maestro from unleashing hell on Earth.

Is this hint-y enough for ya? Laughing
