Post  blackgnosis on Tue Sep 27, 2011 5:27 am

I made this up so I expect it to flop terribly.FEEL FREE TO PROVE ME WRONG!

anything within 5 feet from you (excluding food, guns, knives, etc) are going to save your life from the zombie apocalypse!!!!

What are they. and what do you mcguyver them into to say yourself against THE FINAL BOSS!

Sam-ple (lawl, pun)

1.Pencil
2. duct tape
3. paperclips
4. a heavy book
5. spork
kitbashed item: I used all the items above to make an desk sized catapault!!

HAVE FUN! be creative. and above all feel free to be slly!

Now to make this last longer? after 5 posts have been posted, you can scavenge 1 part from each of the previous posts and mcguyver a new device to fight off the hordes of zombies!

Hmm...though my initial plan is to fill a potato cannon with brains, let's see what a back-up could be.

1. Backpack
2. Sneakers
3. A ream of 110 lb. copy paper (Not actually 110 lbs, that's just the listed paper weight)
4. An old Laptop with a burnt-out battery
5. A book entitled, "Mob Rules: What the mafia can teach the legitimate businessman."

I could put everything else into the backpack, making it a good weapon for blunt force trauma.
...Ugh, that'd mean zombies would have to be pretty close for it to be effective...

Fork
Jones Soda bottle
Compass Map tool
Dental floss
1/8'' thick cellphone charging electrical wire

Tie the fork and compass tool together with dental floss, and tie that device with a broken Jones bottle using the electrical wire.

1. one gallon bottle of liquid laundry detergent
2. one quart bottle of rubbing alcohol
3. Bic lighter

Mix alcohol and detergent, pour onto hardwood floor as a large puddle. Detergent is slippery, zombies fall down while trying to walk across it. Alcohol has a very low flash point. Ignite alcohol with lighter.

Marshmallows optional.

Ok, so I'm outside at the moment and there isn't much of anything within five feet but here's what I've got.

1) Laptop
2) cell phone
3) concrete garbage can w/ metal lid
4) round concrete table w/ 3 matching concrete bench seats
5) um... my neighbors?

Now, am I going for my survival, or the survival of a group? Because... well... if it's my survival then the neighbors are expendable Shocked

Anyways, using the other items, I erect a small barricade of the concrete. Using the garbage lid as a bit of a shield, I fashion the can liner into a sling to lob bits of laptop at the oncoming hoard, culminating in shorting the battery so it boils and explodes as a makeshift grenade.

Now, if I were at work... it's a car parts warehouse so there's ALL KINDS of anti-zombie potential just lying around. Laughing

I really lucked out just now:
1. vacuum cleaner
2. 10 lb weight
3. Clothing rack rod
4. round plastic snow sled
5. small fire extinguisher

The vacuum has a good 30 feet of cord so:
-use some to tie to the handles of the snow sled for a makeshift shield
- the Clothing rack rod will be tied to the weight for a pole arm of sorts
-the fire extinguisher will be for up close (or to make a smoky getaway)
- the rest of the cord will be used as climbing rope to escape

I'm totally scavenging the vacuum cleaner and rubbing alcohol.

So, my list is:

1. Vacuum cleaner
2. Rubbing alcohol
3. Scissors
4. Black Snuggie
5. Old Newspaper

The snuggie provides a safe, blanket-like substance to hide under at night, with newspapers to help provide insulation. Should a zombie startle me from my slumber, they will have rubbing alcohol splashed into their eyes, stabbed in the head with scissors and have their brains vacuumed out.
...Aw, man, that means they have to get close again.
