This comment made me rethink my whole understanding of the universe. I didn't even know there was a naming pattern. I had to take a couple of moments and think through everybody's name. Mind. Blown. It was like realizing I had a working skull in my head.

Yup, Catherine the cat, Rhonda the rabbit, Dawn and Diana the deer/doe, Vikki the vixen, Brian the buck,Mariah mouse, Helen and Henry horse, Sarah squirrel, Alice the Afghan hound, Louis the llama, Hunter the husky, Luke the labrador, etc...

Also, here's the another fact that may blow your mind. You know that "Bad Luck Brian" meme? I'm starting to wonder if Brian the buck is this world's version of Bad Luck Brian since the poor guy has the worst luck.

I'm sure if she simply said, "No thanks," they wouldn't be able to force her of course, but you're not accounting for peer pressure or the persuasive power of friends to convince you this was right for you all along.

Maybe. Diana is tied up in her work and seems aloof about him at times, though the way she looked at him when he encouraged her seems to indicate she does genuinely like him.

I think it is very likely that Diana is going to have a 'crash and burn' moment, or something like it when her plans all go awry and some of the choices she's made come back to bite her. How she and Louis react to that moment, if he can support her, while perhaps helping her learn from it, and how she reacts may be the key to what happens with their relationship.

Alice does share an interest with Louis but as long as she is focused on using that shared interest to get close to him instead of genuinely...sharing it in the way Diana shares her genuine passion for her work, she's not going to be able to compete with her.

I feel like making a crazy guess at the next comic:

Alice compliments his outfit, unintentionally boosting his admiration for Diana.

In the next FE page, Diana is not impressed.

Oh, his friends joking about him was an imagine sequence, duh.

Anyways, I like the subtle touch of him 'grabbing' the fur around his neck with his hooves.

Whatever Diana's motives, she's consistently worked to make people feel more confident about how they look (Remember Alice sabotaging her efforts by playing to other girls' self doubt?).

Just noticed the whiteboard behind Diana; "Do not use machines without supervision." Poor Diana, everything she wants is off limits.

In the next page, Diana shares what she thinks of Louis~

Yeah, Louis is going to fall completely for her.

I suspect if a girl who had said something like that to me in High School I would have done the same.

So she basically got him to "come out of his shell" so to speak and gave him confidence in himself.
