Re: Alice's Antipathy
Latrans is more accurate from my experience. I know of the play and the ending, as well as how it spans 3 days. No one I grew up with did, though, and thought it was a happy story of true love that ended up happily ever after, instead of a tale of true love that's interrupted because the girl wants to rebel against her family with this guy they wouldn't approve of that's just using her as a rebound because her cousin rejected him that ends with everyone dead.

I just noticed that the pearls in her hair circlet grew fangs.

You're right, and it's funny! Thanks for pointing that out; I missed it entirely.
Re: Alice's Antipathy
Ooh. That... that's actually a pretty impressive interpretation of Juliet she's done, intentionally or unintentionally--or somewhere in between.
Also, I love the shift in color scheme.

After all the Llama drama I think the funniest outcome would be that Louis is gay, and sees them both as his girl friends.
*after rehearsal*
Louis: "Wow Alice that was a great Juliet... I think with performance like that you could even make my boyfriend jealous."

His demeanor changed quite a bit. Maybe he's seeing Alice with new eyes, or he is finally getting the impression that she is upset? Although it would be funny if TGH was right and he turns out to be gay. Or he might even already have a girlfriend who is not Diana
You know something I just thought about? Maybe if they DO end up solving their differences, maybe Diana could start making the costumes for the drama department. If they are good enough, she just might make some money.

that would work too, but adding a pre existing girlfriend would just set Alice and Diana's sites on her over his Llovely Llama Llikeness. Unless she was a distant Girlfriend, like say his girlfriend who lives in canada, *starts humming the song*
If he was gay there would have been that wonderful level of futility over the whole affair since the competition between the two girls was so pointless. they both tried so hard to score points against one another when the truth is they weren't even in the running. Though even in that scenario there would be hope since stating he has a boyfriend wouldnt rule him out in the long run he might be Bi too.
Course I will admit there is my own personal bias in this since this theory is coming from thegayhare I always love to see chars on the mauve side of the force (we have cookies... Trust me any group I'm in has cookies)

Lois being gay would be interesting, not just for the effect it would have on the girls, but also how he lives in a very religious oriented community. However, due to the second point he is likely to not broadcast his orientation even to a close friend let alone an interested lady (or two).

Re: Alice's Antipathy
I agree, having Louis be gay would be an interesting twist. 'Course, he seems to have a thing for Diana, so I think if he liked guys, he'd be bi and, as Latrans pointed out, a closet case--unfortunately for him, but that could be prime material for an intense narrative arc.
Re: kanna on Louis's change in demeanor: Maybe! He certainly seems to have been taken aback. I suspect most of what follows is just acting, though, and it may be a nasty snap back to reality for Alice once the scene is over. But a part of me hopes you're right.

NO! Don't do it Rubin!
But... I gotta stir it up!
What.. if... Louis is a Mormon who believes in (Dun, Dun, DUUUUHHH!!!!!) "Polygamy"!
Maybe Diana and Alice could be SISTER WIVES!!!!!!!!

Ok, why the sudden idea of Louis being gay? He's obviously infatuated with Diana, using his feeling for her to project Romeo's affection for Juliet. So he's at least interested in women. Of course, he might be attracted to both men and women, but I don't see him having a relationship with someone while being interested in someone else.

We're just have a bit o' fun with it. I don't think anyone really believes he is gay but it would have been an interesting plot twist.

First thing that came to mind was the ancient Chinese symbol for trouble (two women under one roof). Especially with those two.
Unfortunately, after consulting the all-knowing Google, it turns out that is actually not the case. Just one of those urban legends that everyone "knows".

well truth be told his affection might not be romantic. from what we've seen (least what I remember) he could easly have a sisterly affection for her. his help with her projects might be in part from a shared passion for fashion but he just doesn't have an eye for design.
but truthfully its like Kanna said. I have no doubt Louis is straight I just think that him being gay would make for a great punchline here. Its like the Jock char from Paranorman. there were no real stereo typicly gay clues about him. and his oblivousness to the girl hitting on him was in char for the jock sterotype. but the reveal he had a boyfriend in the end and the girls reaction to that was just awesome. I think something similar could be done here and it would be funny.
