"Aw man! You threw off my groove!"

JAM, I suspect that Vikki, being unfamiliar with Mormon culture, selected the college based on academic criteria and didn't do much research into student codes of conduct. Being stuffed in with a trio of Mollies probably wasn't planned either.Wink

Vikki looks really, REALLY good in the right-most dance picture. That's more like how I generally imagine her, considering her athletic classes with Ronnie, and even more now that I know she wants(ed?) to be a dancer. Personality-wise I really like the bottom-left drawing and the bottom-right. She really looks outgoing and friendly in those.

That dance dress seems a bit...light, and it almost looks like she's not wearing anything under it.

Does she go swimming in a bikini?

It's a dance leotard with a skirt ~ When Vikki goes to the pool to swim, she wears the swimsuit that will help get her the best results when participating in that activity. She follows this same practice when going to the pool to flirt with boys.

This raises some interesting design questions given that she (and the rest of the FE population) are covered in fur. While some (otters, polar bears, etc.) would probably have a natural affinity for leaving fur exposed, many others might find having a mass of flowing fur to be quite the drag while trying to move through the water. I suspect that this means "functional" swimwear would be more like the full-body kit worn by Real Life competitive swimmers though trying to get fur to lie right under that kind of thing might take some practice.

Of course I also suspect that "fashionable" swimwear would be rather more revealing.

Would otters prefer to swim au naturale, even in mixed company?

Or is swimming generally considered to be a clothing optional activity, regardless of upbringing, as it was in Victorian England? (swimsuits as we know them were invented shortly after that, before then, swimming was practically always done au naturale).

The colleges mentioned in this comic are mostly fictional. Any resemblance to current institutions of learning is intentionally coincidental.

Interesting how hesitant Helen appears even before Vikki names her school.

I don't think she's hesitant or nervous so much as she is more quiet and withdrawn. From what I've seen of her, she's really not a "people person" and is there because it's expected of her and not because she particularly wishes to socialize. I can be the same way when required to meet people I don't specifically care about.

And because that sounds a lot more harsh than I mean, here's an example. At my last comic convention I met a few webcomic authors. I really didn't much care, but my ladyfriend wanted to so I was required to be present by proxy. On the other hand, I was once able to meet one of my favorite authors and was thrilled at the opportunity (also mortified because I ran late and probably royally screwed up any prospective plans they may have had for that evening Embarassed ).

Sort of how Cat was. I have a feeling Cat and Helen would get along great.

I think that one could go either way...  :-)
Either they'd both be quiet and unobtrusive enough to not get in each other's way, or
they'd worry so much about not annoying each other that they'd constantly be all worried
and stressed-out about it.  (I would expect this more in Cat than Helen.)  Helen strikes me
as mostly quiet and reserved, while Cat seems more nervous and insecure.

I often type LOL on social media when in reality I maybe gave a slight smirk.
Let me just say in an unadulterated way LOLOLOLOLOL!  lol!

( I might also add that while the other girls are to say the least nonplussed Helen is the one blushing! DOUBLE LOLOLOL! Farm creature sympathetic?)

In other news, I now desire a beefcake commission from Ms. Natalie. It's only fair, really, considering my last commission. Equal opportunity eyecandy!
