This forum looks dead... OH WELL, JOIN ANYWAYS!
This forum appears to have been updated not too long ago... So I'm pretty sure it's not dead. (But if it is, I apologize! 0_o)
I will assume people still come here.
Anyways, hello! I am Banjo(Auz)! I am an LDS fur, but I only found out about the fandom a few moths ago, so I'm kinda new.
I discovered FE last week and instantly fell in love with it! The story (and writing in general) are very well done;
I really enjoy 'slice of life' stories, (I'm pretty sure FE qualifues) so the comics are very fun too read. The way the characters interact is very intertaining. And the art is fantastic!
I'm sorry, I've probably talked your ear off! ^-^'
If no one comes here, I just want to say "great job!" to the comic's creator!

Welp, the forums aren't dead, it just looks that way.
Welcome from another LDS fur, enjoy, post much, and watch out for a certain guy named Latrans. If you find him, make sure to feed him a cookie.

Welcome to the group! No these forums aren't dead by any stretch. Slow on occasion, but that's not really a bad thing is it? Means they're not hard to keep up with.
So don't be shy about stopping in and posting, we're a friendly group!

Re: This forum looks dead... OH WELL, JOIN ANYWAYS!
Thanks for the welcomes, guys!
Sorry my responses aren't very long. I kinda have a bit of trouble talking [...texting?] to people. :/
Don't worry, you can count on me to preform those tasks! *salutes* (Unless I die, of course.)
Slow isn't a bad thing, I would just have to get used to it. The other forum I'm on requires that I pay daily attention, or else I might miss someone's comment.
Ok! I am a little shy, but I shall try to overcome it.

I see. I come from a forum that is much more populated than this one, so the lack of recent posts scared me. :pSlim Shadow wrote:Welp, the forums aren't dead, it just looks that way.

Cookie!
Ur nuu wuh ish... mmm! *nom*nom*gulp*
I know what it's like to be on a busy board. My second-ever forum had a (VERY) popular RP thread that was known to grow five to ten pages a day.
But that's neither here nor there, I suppose.
Anywho, you said you've just discovered the fandom! The fact that you found your way here is a positive sign. So how/where did you get your start? And what other things have you uncovered on your journey? Call me crazy but I love newbies in the fandom because they can be so naive and sometimes hilariously misinformed.
And don't worry, I promise I will be nothing if not friendly and helpful.
Lastly, here's a little something to earn you favor with our Supreme Overlord when she returns victorious from glorious battle against the villainous scourge known only as The Flu.
*You have received an item! [high praise]*
*You have gained a new rank! [Forum Minion]*

Re: This forum looks dead... OH WELL, JOIN ANYWAYS!
Wow! 5 to 10 pages a day?! That's ridiculous!
I've never seen anything that crazy on my other site.
I have liked the idea of anthropomorphic animals for forever, but sometime last year (I don't remember exactly when) I learned that there was a name and fandom for it.
I had heard the word "furries" somewhere on the internet, so I Google'd "define furries" and found the wikifur definition. After I had read the page I came to the realization that I was a furry. Since then I've done some research and kinda got a basic idea of what the fandom is like, but this is the first time I've really tried to communicate with other furs.
Other things I've learned:
- Who uncle Kage is and his involvement with Anthrocon.
- What Anthrocon is.
- Not all furries own fursuits.
- What a fursuit is.
- What "yiff" means.
- Not all furries like yiffy stuff.
I could go on, but I think you get the idea. (Plus, I'm not sure what I'm saying anymore.)
(I found Furry Experience while searching for clean furry comics.)
[And I hope I'm not hilariously misinformed about anything...]
Cool! I look forward to staying here!
Yay! New rank! Thanks, pal! [But I don't think I deserve the high praise...]

I always liked cartoon animals a lot too. Such a shame most of them get involved in the dirty pictures.
I think birds are hardly ever in whole "anthro" thing. I don't know why. This happens to be my best art so far.

It may be a bit more calm than other forums, but you've already found out it's full of awesomely welcoming people.

Hi there, I'm gonna chime in with everyone else and say welcome to the forums! It might be a bit slower than where you're used to, but it does have a stable pulse. And as you can see, folks here are super nice, too, so make yourself at home~

It sounds like you've got a pretty solid handle on this whole 'furry' thing. Yeah, there is some justification for the bad press furs get, but they tend to be the exception, not the rule. Look up Uncle Kage on YouTube. I think you'll enjoy what you find.Banjo(Auz) wrote:Other things I've learned:

Here are some websites you might get a kick out of:
FurAffinity: basically a DeviantArt for anthropomorphic art.
Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures: A very well established (and clean) webcomic.
Sequential Art: Another great webcomic.
Kevin and Kell: a daily newspaper-esque webcomic.
Imperial G.E.L.F.: Written by Hikaru, art by our very own Ms. Natalie!
The Whiteboard: Yet another web comic!
Curtailed: One-shot comics about the artist and her husband (who's RL name actually is 'Fox')
And we look forward to having you!Cool! I look forward to staying here!

Agreed, people's artistic abilities could be used for far greater things, but instead they waste it on drawing you-know-what... [/my opinion]
I must admit, avians don't spring to my mind when I think "furries". but that doesn't mean they aren't just as cool as your typical wolf furry character.
(I could have worded this part better. Please note that I ment no offense!)
I guess it's just a matter of personal interest. *shrugs*
And, sorry. I am unable to see your image because of the darned internet filter my parents put on my computer!
Is there anywhere else you could upload it so I could see it? Or perhaps a download link?

Everybody here is incredibly nice! Thanks for that, everybody!
I just hope I don't say something stupid and offend anyone... I sometimes do that accidentally. 0.o
That is a lot of links!Latrans wrote:Here are some websites you might get a kick out of:

I shall make sure to check those out when I have some time!
(Except for FurAffinity, as it is blocked by my filter.)
