So I was just thinking of FE equivalent movie directors and had a thought: The recent live-action Trans-Fur-Mors movies were directed by Michael Bray (an as- err.. a mule). Can this be canon? Please? Laughing

The game is infamous for its' controversy. It was a risky project to begin with: an interactive documentary teaching about one of the bloodiest battles in modern history. Though it was a well-researched project and had the support of soldiers who survived this battle, many critics argued that making a game about such an event would be disrespectful to the soldiers who died fighting in it. The company defended their project, but after news outlets picked up the controversy critics gained more support and momentum. This eventually lead to financial backers of the project to pull out, company shareholders leaving, and poor sales when the game was finally released. The company shut down shortly afterwards.

Sure. As long as the FE's version of the movies are better. Cool

Yes. Most cultures consider touching another's tail without their permission a serious social faux pas. When someone does allows or invites their tail to be touched, it is a sign of familiarity and trust. Entwining and wrapping tails is a popular trope in romantic stories, but it's also recognized as a sign of friendship and family bonds.

Actually, that character is 'Miranda Mystical,' and belongs to Yami. But I'm sure several artists were inspired by Tiny Toons. (Myself included!)

Who were the famous racehorses Seabiscuit, War Admiral and Secretariat in the Fe universe?

Does furry mythology have anything akin to the half-man creatures, such as centaurs, satyrs, and mermaid?

No matter how dramatically movies and books flourish their achievements, all three of them were normal horses. They put their shoes on one hoof at a time like everyone else.

Some old myths feature strange creatures with skin-coats. But no matter how it's depicted, the skin-coats are really creepy-looking.

Because I love talking videogames:

-What are some of the major consoles/systems? Are there FE equivalents to Nintendo, Playstation, and Xbox?
-What are some of the most popular game series?
-Is there an FE equivalent to Shigeru Miyamoto? If so, what species?

Currently, the most popular consoles are the Nbox, Playtendo and Xstation. David's favorite is Playtendo - his favorite racing and RPG games are on there.

Cutekitty wrote:What are some of the most popular game series?

With the console industry booming, PC games constantly reinventing themselves and the rise of mobile games, there are literally hundreds of popular game series on today's market. But some iconic series include:

Final Legend of Dreamland Galaxy, fantasy games famous for their puzzle-solving free roam worlds and RPG battlestyle
Heavy Walking Dawn Effect, cinematic epics where the conversations determine the outcome of the overall game
Left 4 Silent Resident Darkness, a series that explores every aspect of horror

Cutekitty wrote:Is there an FE equivalent to Shigeru Miyamoto? If so, what species?

Yes, he's a gorilla. His wife is gorgeous.

Do felines chase after string, birds, and rodents? What is the general feeling on catnip?

Playing with string is a bad habit kittens are taught to stop doing as they get older.
A feline child chasing a bird or rodent is a popular bullying trope seen in media, but it's less common in real life since schools started enforcing anti-bullying policies.
As for catnip, it's not as universally loved as non-feline species think. It's an acquired taste.

Such genetic mutations are not unheard of, but extremely rare. In the early 1900s, the only place the average person would event see such things would be at an attraction for a traveling circus - along with the 'unicorn' and 'dragon.' However, like the 'unicorn' with a fastened horn and 'dragon' wearing a vest with wings sewn on, the 'Digitigrade Feet' were usually props.

So actual Dragons exist, as confirmed by the existence of one Patreon OC, they are just rare, as confirmed by the quote.

Is their rarity due to the actions of Medieval Knights? The stories of St. George, Sigurd the Dragon Slayer, and Beowulf all come to mind. Is there any truth to the ancient tales of Dragons kidnapping young women, hoarding riches, and breathing fire?

Are there venomous species in FE, such as snakes, Komodo Dragons, and those spitting lizards? Some species have venomous saliva, wouldn't they be incredibly dangerous to be around? Would they have to carry antidote around in case they poisoned someone by accident?

Many cultures around the world have their own stories concerning dragons. However, very few have been proven to be real, historic events. Between the rarity of such genetic mutations, the time passed since said events took place, and the inconsistencies with each retelling of the story, to prove whether or not a dragon's story was real is an impossible feat. Those who become  obsessed with finding a dragon's true story risk being accused by their peers of "chasing the dragon."

Utzad wrote:Are there venomous species in FE, such as snakes, Komodo Dragons, and those spitting lizards? Some species have venomous saliva, wouldn't they be incredibly dangerous to be around? Would they have to carry antidote around in case they poisoned someone by accident?

There are venomous species in the world of FE. However, most have their venomous glands surgically removed and ducts closed at a young age. The practice has become so common nearly all public schools require gland removal along with updated vaccinations for enrolling students.

There are groups who protest requiring the removal of venom at such a young age, claiming young reptiles are being denied an important part of their identity and heritage by doing so. They argue the concern of another student getting poisoned is overblown fear mongering, caused by a lack of education about venom for decades. By requiring gland removal, it teaches the children that venom should be feared and ashamed of, instead of what it really is - normal. Many groups host their own seminars and events to educate the public about the benefits of venom - including it's impact on history and how it contributed to modern medicine we know today.

Are there snakes or any non-bipedal people in FE?

Why are Frogs the same size as cats, the same size as rabbits, the same size as deer?

Why do Ronnie and Cat fight a lot?

What's this about Dawn and a fortune teller? I don't remember that.

Utzad wrote:Are there snakes or any non-bipedal people in FE?

Non-bipeds do exist, but are extremely rare - and usually the result of genetic mutation. However, evidence found in archeological sites suggest there used to be larger populations of non-bipeds in early civilizations. What happened to these ancient people is still a mystery. However, the most commonly accepted theory is biped genes were dominate in comparison. When biped were mixed into the population, they quickly overwhelmed and dominated the gene pool.

Utzad wrote:Why are Frogs the same size as cats, the same size as rabbits, the same size as deer?

This is another ancient mystery scholars have yet to solve. Some theorize it's interbreeding between species that has caused heights to even out over centuries. But that theory implicates interspecies relationships were commonplace at a time farther back then can be proven, bypassing centuries of recorded segregation between species.

Another theory is that there was never a dramatic height difference between species to begin with. Rather, they were all much smaller centuries ago, and have evolved together as populations grew and changed. But this theory is equally unprovable, since there are species today which do maintain a distinct height difference - despite the changes of their population over the centuries.

The study of ancient civilizations and genetic evolution have become some of the most fascinating fields of research. Even though a lot has been discovered about the world's ancient ancestors, there is still so much more to discover.

Utzad wrote:Why do Ronnie and Cat fight a lot?

Cat and Ronnie have opposite perspectives of the world around them. Cat is open, optimistic and naive. Ronnie is guarded, pessimistic and skeptical. Sometimes when they try to communicate, it leads to frustration and anger. Fortunately, Dawn's a good mediator between the two of them, and can help everyone find common ground.

Utzad wrote:What's this about Dawn and a fortune teller? I don't remember that.

Kanna was referring to a comic from the last FE Fan Art Event. You can read it and the rest of them here: http://furryexperience.smackjeeves.com/FEFCE-2015/
Come to think of it, entire for the next FE Fan Art Event should be happening soon...

How do people in the FEverse handle wound care, particularly since most of them have fur, feathers, or scales? I can't see Band-aids working out too well. Do they just stick with non-adhesives like surgical pads and gauze? How do they keep those from slipping?

Small injuries such as papercuts can be treated with band-aids.They are called band-aids because they are small elastic bandages with pre-attached gauze pads. Band-aids come in a variety of sizes and colors, and are essential to any home first aid kit.

Larger, more serious injuries may require shaving to disinfect and treat. Sometimes the injury is species-specific, and will require special equiptment. For example, if an Avian breaks one of their pin feathers, the constant bleeding may lead to death if the feather is not removed. Because of this, a strong pair of pliers is as essential to an Avian first aid kit as Band-aids.

As for 'cones of shame,' they are an extreme measure for children who will not leave their stitches or injuries alone. Having an adult being required to wear a cone is a trope often seen in prime time comedies.

What became of animal species with more than two nipples?

Do Kangaroos still carry their young in a pouch or was that thrown out along with sitting on eggs when modern technology came along?

What is in a furry comic, within a furry comic? Wouldn't it just be a regular comic? How is Cat's Furry Comic coming anyway?

Utzad wrote:What became of animal species with more than two nipples?

There is a collection of ancient pictographs in Europe which feature females with multiple breasts, but it is unknown whether these were depictions of an early species or mythical deities.

Utzad wrote:Do Kangaroos still carry their young in a pouch or was that thrown out along with sitting on eggs when modern technology came along?

Some indigenous tribes still use their pouch for babies and infants, but most Kangaroos raised in Western cultures do not. In fact, recently there's been a rise in young Kangaroo females who find living with a pouch in modern society inconvenient, choosing to have them surgically sealed. It's become so popular the procedure has gained a nickname: the stomach staple.

Utzad wrote:What is in a furry comic, within a furry comic? Wouldn't it just be a regular comic? How is Cat's Furry Comic coming anyway?

A furry comic is an illustrated story featuring anthropomorphic characters. They can come in a variety of genres, including comedy, drama, fantasy, science fiction, and slice-of-life. It's a medium which has exploded in popularity around the world - it seems furries love stories about their own kind. I guess they're like humans that way.

As for Cat's comic, she's trying to figure out what kind of story she wants, but keeps getting sidetracked with developing characters. That's her favorite par of making comics.

Rising Blue wrote:has cat ever drawn herself as a human?

Cat once sketched how she'd look without hair. It was very disturbing. She tried to throw it away, but then worried doing so would just release it into the world. She keeps it stuffed in the very back of her dresser drawer.

Has she considered Fire as a cleansing material? The phrase "Kill it with fire" seems apt.
