Why haven't I registered for these forums before?
Greetings everyone! I'm Teric, and I've read this comic faithfully since day one. For as much as I like this comic, I had to smack myself a few times when I realized this morning that I never registered on the forums!
About me:
I've officially been a furry since 2006 when I discovered the fandom, but I've been a fan of anthropomorphics for as long as I can remember. Growing up, Robin Hood, Secret of NIMH, and Watership Down were my favorite movies. My fursona is an anthro dragon, 7' 4", with a big weakness for fuzzy hugs. There's a pretty elaborate back story behind him, if anyone is interested to read the writings of an amateur author.
I'm also a life-long Latter-Day Saint, born in Salt Lake City, but lived in Illinois, California, and currently Texas. I served a mission in Salta, Argentina from 1993 to 1995. Graduated from BYU-Provo with a Master's degree in Information Systems. Married in the Mt. Timponogos Temple in 1997, and I'm currently wrestling with four boys between the ages of 2 to 13.
I am Also a gamer-and-a-half. I was there in the 'old' days with the Atari 2600 and the Apple II, and I've played games ever since. In fact, I have worked as a computer programmer in the gaming industry for the last eight years.
Happy to finally find this forum, and I look forward to meeting you!

Hi Teric, welcome to the forums! I'm Cutekitty, and I've been following this comic for... well, quite a while now, I think, though I believe I stumbled across it some time after it first started. I've never been an LDS member or lived anywhere other than Illinois, but I've been learning quite a bit about the LDS culture from following the comic and participating in these forums.
I don't have a college degree yet; I just got out of high school and will start furthering my studies in the fall. I have taken AP classes, though, which I suppose are the equivalent of various intro-level college courses... well, at least enough for me to have gotten a bunch of college credits for 'em. I also quite like videogames, particularly the Mario ones, though I've tried my hand at and enjoyed others (like Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS) as well.
Well, that's enough about me. Nice to meet you!

Hiya CuteKitty! Thanks for your response.
Which AP courses did you take? I remember taking AP US History and AP Music Theory when I was in High School (clear back in the 1990's...) Do you have any colleges that you'd like to attend?
The Zelda series has always been a big favorite of mine. I've played most of them, though I haven't had a chance to try 'Skyward Sword' yet (because I don't own a Wii), but I will some day!

Haha, no problem.
Regarding AP classes, sophomore year I took World History; junior year I took U.S. History, English Language, and Chemistry; senior year (this past year!) I took Spanish Language, Psychology, Calculus AB, Physics B, and English Literature. And yep, I've applied and been accepted to Northwestern University in Illinois. First/fall quarter starts mid-late September; I'm excited!
You like Zelda too? Cool! I started playing Zelda relatively recently (within the last year) when my younger siblings let me try theirs; I've only tried Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess and have beaten the main storyline only in the former so far, so I haven't played Skyward Sword yet either. Gameplay-wise, Ocarina's my favorite Zelda game so far, though I love the graphics, plot, and characterization in Twilight Princess. Which Zelda games are your favorites?

DANG, you took a ton of AP courses. I did take AP European History, but I failed the AP test, so I didn't get college credit for it. But I did get credit for Calc AB, US History, English Lit, and Music Theory.
Heh I started playing Zelda games when they first appeared on the old 8-bit Nintendo system (back in 1986-87!), and I've played them ever since. I have to admit that I enjoyed Twilight Princess more than I liked Ocarina of Time, but I liked them both quite a bit. I also enjoyed Phantom Hourglass (on the 3DS).
I'm also really big on strategy and RPG games (the ones that really make you think and figure things out). Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, Heroes of Might and Magic, Metroid, etc. etc.

Re: Why haven't I registered for these forums before?
Yeah, I suppose I took a lot, huh? xD I liked taking them, though; the generally faster, more intense pace of AP courses matched up well with my learning pace. And hey, way to go on your AP credits! *high-five* I got credit for most of mine too--all except for US History, because apparently a 4 in history isn't good enough for Northwestern.
Strategy and RPG games are fun! Unfortunately I haven't played any of the titles you listed, so I don't know how well the Paper Mario series, Pokemon, and Fossil Fighters stack up against the games you listed as far as intellectual stimulation goes, but as far as I can tell, the Paper Mario series qualifies as RPG with plenty of little puzzles and--at least in Thousand-Year Door and the one for the Nintendo 64--some battle strategy, and I'm pretty sure Pokemon and Fossil Fighters qualify as battle strategy-based games as well.

Welcome to the boards! I don't think there's really much to say about me. My 'sona is a coyote from the south-west US, though I've been a little bit of everywhere in the country. I've been with FE since... Don't remember exactly, but it was still black/white.
Now stick around. We like seeing new faces become familiar ones.

Welcome, Teric.
I'm a cartoon fan, and these slice-of-life comics appeal to me. High school graduate, husband-father-breadwinner, working toward getting HVAC 2a certification. Not a gamer, though; could never get the hang of thumb-dancing and button-mashing.

Latrans: I'll be sticking around, for sure. FE is one comic that I have no intention of leaving behind.
Ellen: Great to be here! I just have to smack myself that I didn't do this a long time ago!
Bunny: Husband-father-breadwinner thing is the story of my life right now. How long have you been married? How many children?

Gah! I can't wait until I'm married (well I can, just, you know...) and to able to have all this still is just astounding in my eyes. Great job!
