How's the Weather?
After a hot day at work and drawing a comic page about rain, I got to thinking about an old thread the FE forums used to have where people described what the weather was like where they were. I missed hearing about cold rain when it was steaming outside, or a sunny day when snow was on the ground. So I'm starting the thread back up again~
Like I said before, it was a hot day in Utah Valley. The first time since spring started I looked outside the window at work and I wasn't itching to frolic in the sunshine. What's the weather like where you're at?

Had some time to get out on some good motorcycle riding weather. It was a toasty 31 C out there.

Here in Phoenix we're just rolling into summer. That means we're hitting triple digits (Fahrenheit) durring the day with a light breeze and cloudless skies.

Outside my window today, I saw the wind blow so hard a branch broke off, falling to the parking lot. It was then drenched in rain, then completely dried out with sunlight. All within eight hours.
Re: How's the Weather?
This almost sounds like Binghamton weather, highly variable, all over the spectrum.
"How's the weather?"
"Lousy."
"I'll come back after lunch and try again."
The newest thing is flooding. There was one Great Flood of 1932 that submerged some bridges. This was dismissed as a fluke.
Then came the Great Snowfall of 1993 that made entire neighborhoods disappear.
Then came the Flood of 2006. Civil engineers claimed that this was a once-in-a-hundred-years phenomenon.
Then came the bigger Flood of 2011. The high water marks are still visible in some places.

Now, substitute "Meteorology" for "Marketing" and you'll have an idea of Binghamton's forecasts.

Buckets of rain in Salt Lake City today! Visiting for the day, Lamoni and I were completely unprepared for it. Fortunately, being drenched and cold causes the warm, German comfort food at Siegfried's to taste fantastic.

Today was mostly cloudy in the morning then it all went poof and became sunny

Just ducky: mostly overcast with intermittent rain all week. Not quite "Noah, build an ark" rainy, but enough to be annoying and gloomy.

It's been raining this past week. We even had a Tornado watch, and a touchdown in a town close to us.

Since I'm just starting (went there like 3x I'm shooting between 15-30 yards maybe. Sometimes moving Targets and sometimes we go outside to shoot with the wind.GldnClaw wrote:what's the average distance to shoot from?

A nice cool day today. Has been a few weeks since we had any rain and finally got a little bit today. Hopefully my grass will grow a bit, as it's been thinning out.

Today Wednesday June 13 was another good day to try out my Archery. Today We shot outside with a target 60 yards away with 3mph winds. I hit the target a bunch and got 1 kill shot to the head. :p shot it right through the ear.

Re: How's the Weather?
I live right next to the Rocky Mountains. This past week, all the smoke from fires in Colorado and Utah have caused them to be cloaked in a haze, barely visible. I'd hate to think how bad the smoke is up the canyons themselves.
Re: How's the Weather?
I have a close friend living in Colorado, I hope she's still okay.

Re: How's the Weather?
Been 100+ for the last week and it looks like this week will be the same. No rain in sight and the ac can't keep up with the heat, until I set the thermostat at 80. Can't wait to see my electric bill in a few weeks. My poor wallet will be hurting.
