Hello All!
Just saying hello! I have been following this comic for close to a year now ( or pretty darn close ) I have spoken to Ellen a few times on FA praising her for her comic that I enjoy so much ( Used the same name there ) . I left FA, due to it becoming a dictatorship and the mods over there removing my wood working submissions.
I am a Furry! A Ratonga to be exact ( if you played EQ2, you know what I am ). I know I am older than most furries, but I can't change who I am. Some of my hobbies are collecting and shooting firearms ( just starting again after a long break from them in the Army ), JRPG's ( the dieing genre ), building an Anime collection etc...
If you have any questions, comments, or smartarse remarks I will do my best to answer them

Hello and welcome, Stitchie. A big fan of Disney's Lilo and Stitch, I'm surmising. And born in 1974, obviously.
I'm John. Not a furry, though, but I do enjoy anthro works. I can see why animators go the anthro route: character anonymity. Prime example: even though Sasha Cohen's Borat character was clearly a ridiculous amalgam of stereotypes, and even with the boilerplate disclaimer at the end of the film, he still was hit with two subpoenas claiming his fictional character defamed the claimants. No animal has ever filed a lawsuit for civil damages, so Funny Animals seem to be a safety mechanism for artistic storytellers.

Mr. Bunny is our resident braniac though I'll occasionally try to respond, it's mostly made up of referencing tvtropes.org.
Like this:
If using numerous species (as is most common), drawing antrhos is also a pretty solid way to avert Only Six Faces. It can also be used to give an instant 'feel' for the characters being presented based on Animal Stereotypes (the sly fox, the burly bear, the noble lion, etc). Lastly, many artists have simply claimed Furries are Easier to Draw.

Stitches was the name of the Everquest 2 Char( my personal char ) that got me interested in furs. He is a Ratonga, not a space alien . Ratonga are rats on steroids ( think Master Splinter from TMNT, but not the same ) that are about 4footish high. His job classification is a Brigand, a highly trained and more advanced version of a rogue. The name "Stitches" came about, because if you met him, you would need stitches to put the body back together. He is an assassin after all, but he does not just kill and take off, he loves seeing his victims suffer.
As I am still new here I cant post external links yet, so I can't give you more info.
EDIT: CHEERS, just noticed you were a New Yorker. I was born and raised on Long Island.
