Awesome! <3
Sorry it's taken so long to take my turn, but here goes:

An animated film, starring an adventurous, curious young girl. When her world is invaded by aliens, she ends up saving one of them-learning to communicate and work with him to help save both of their worlds.

I'm thinking Titan AE, but I'm probably wrong.

Titan A.E. is a closer guess than Lilo and Stitch, but neither is correct.
Another hint: The world this film takes place is not Earth.

This is a long-shot possibility, but ... Spirited Away?

The curious young girl is Chihiro. It's not her world that's invaded, though; rather, she and her parents stumble upon the Spirit World. Chihiro befriends Haku, a young man who is actually a river spirit with amnesia. Together, they work to repair the damage caused by Chihiro and her parents.

Very creative thinking ^^ Unfortunately, that's not it. It's definitely in the sci-fi genre

Well, it's been about a week-guess I better reveal the answer. It's "Battle for Terra." An animated film from 2009
Here's the next one:

She had overcome a life of hardship to win one of happiness and prosperity with the love of her life. But her stepmother and stepsisters are tired of living in squalor, and have recently discovered the magic that helped the heroine achieve her dreams. Now it's their time to rise up and steal her happy life for themselves~

Sorry 'bout the double-post, but it's been another week. The movie was Disney's "Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time."
Guess I'm picking too obscure films. ^^; Let me try something more well known:

A Kung Fu Warrior faces many formidable foes, including closed temple doors, heavy noodle carts, and stairs.

Re: Movie Game

Post  oneuglybunny on Tue Nov 08, 2011 8:50 pm

This has to be Dreamworks Animation's Kung Fu Panda from 2008.
The warrior is Po, a panda who'd been selling noodles and other edibles to villagers. Po faced only one actual foe: Tai Lung; all other opposition came from the Fearsome Five and Master Sifu, who were reticent rather than hostile to Po. Those stairs ran the height of an entire mountain, and were (pun intended) a real bear on poor Po.

Cinderella 3 ... yeah, another in a string of quickie sequels churned out by Disney under Eisner's regime. Mermaid spawned one; Lion King, two; Lilo and Stitch, two or three; Lady and the Tramp had one. It used to be Disney ventured boldly where animation had never gone before, and all the other studios tried to keep apace. Under Eisner, Disney was copycatting itself. Pardon me for not sustaining interest in uninspired clones. Neutral

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as bunny as far as Cinderella 3 goes. Sorry. And nothing wrong with obscure films. I'll openly admit that the films I've chosen aren't exactly mainstream.

That's correct, bunny! Your turn now. ^^
And it's a shame you don't enjoy any of the sequels-I know they aren't all great, but Cinderella 3's really a gem. As for 'uninspired clones,' one of my favorite comic artists worked as an animator on several Disney sequels. Awhile back she gave some commentary on her experience: http://mimi-na.deviantart.com/journal/This-is-a-Sequel-Love-Zone-242150222#comments

Could this be Despicable Me from Universal Pictures in 2010? The three orphans are Margo, Edith and Agnes.

Well, after a long time without an answer, the actual answer ws New York Doll. The guy in question was Arthur "Killer" Kane, bassist for 70's punk band the New York Dolls.

Next movie

After a rugged trip across the Great Barrier, a ship's crew and their rebel captors encounter God, or so they thought.
