Welcome to the new Official Forums for the Furry Experience webcomic! My name is Serious Table (formerly known as Kaahn Stewart), the administrator of these boards, and it's my job/goal to make these forums feel like home for you guys.

At present, the boards are fully functional, including a fancy little comic button next to the "Home" link at the top of the page. The forums are organized and working, and it should be a nice place to stay. That being said, there are a few other things I'd like to add to the forums, such as a better looking skin and fonts, Captcha for registering to the boards (priority one at this point), and a few other features.

With those goals in mind, I want to hear back from you on what you think of the boards and what you think could be improved! Replying directly to this post is entirely acceptable, and you can also PM myself with suggestions for improvements or changes to our current set up! (Do try to avoid PMing Ms. Ellie on the matter, however; she DOES have a comic/life she's working on!)

Welcome to the forums, ladies and gentlemen! Let's make it the best we can!

Thanks for setting this up for us! The only suggestion I would make at this point is about the mobile version of the forum. I don't know if you can change this, but there doesn't seem to a way to log in and post, making it just a viewer.

The mobile optimization for the boards is currently in Beta. From what I'm seeing, the developers were working hard to get a fully functional format for the forums first and foremost before fully implementing forum post fabricatoin features for future use.

Can you tell I was fighting for F words in that last one? *laughs*

I'll keep an eye on the feature, though, and get it fully implemented as soon as it's live.

Well, just my 2 cents (they're kind of dirty and scuffed, sorry), but I've got a few things.

First, would be ince to dump the banner ads. I understand this probably won't/can't happen as long as the forum remains on a free host, but it'd be nice to not have to look at them.

Second, is also a low priority, but lies along the lines of new skins/layouts. I'm familiar and comfortable with a slightly more segregated thread look and would appreciate something like that in the future. Reference here though obviously not that color scheme.

Lastly, would it be possible to make the Forum Games section not add to the post count? I've nothing against a spam section (they really can be more fun than they've any right to) but it's nice to know at a glance how productive a poster someone is as opposed to just how prolific.

1) Since we are on a free host, banner ads are going to be an unfortunate necessity unless we can get some funding to remove them (I'll investigate if that's possible). That being said, I would recommend using either Firefox 4 or Google Chrome and adding the "Adblock" extension to it. I've yet to actually see a banner ad on the board with it active, and have not been impacted negatively by it.

2) I wasn't able to find any super-obvious differences between their forum structure and ours, the bright purple aside. Each thread is and forum and category on our boards is easily identifiable, so if you could expand on your thoughts, that would be appreciated.

3) I'll look into this right now. Thanks for the heads up on that.

EDIT: To number 3, this is apparently impossible with the boards we're running right now, but has been suggested. I'll keep a close eye on this feature and apply it as soon as it becomes available.

On the layout, I meant that on most boards the individual posts are distinguished by their own border/background, where as this board has a single background to which all posts are applied. The only breaks are an extra space and the bold subject header. The poster information is similarly only separated from the post by a light hash mark. Maybe I'm weird, but I like my segregated look. Rolling Eyes

Of course, this only applies to the individual threads. The super and sub forums are both nicely broken up.
